Alanyaspor managed to stay at top level once again but they could not find the consistency they wanted during the season. In recent years, they have generally preferred to build squads with young and relatively unknown players and then try to increase their values. This policy brings some risks and it looks like they will follow a similar way this season too. Ahead of the new campaign, there have not been too many major additions so far and they may need some late moves in the transfer market. The most important change can be seen in offence line. Steven Mounie returned to Augsburg following the end of his loan period while club legend Efecan Karaca left for Sariyer. The departure of Efecan will also be important in terms of leadership after his long years at the club. In order to increase their attacking options, they signed Omar Ben Ali from CS Sfaxien. Arda Usluoglu, Veysel Unal and Osman Arslantas also returned following their loan periods. However, it would be risky to expect too much from those young players immediately at Super League level. They seem to need at least one proven attacker. There are also some changes in midfield as Janvier and Buluthan Bulut left the club. Emirhan Cavus returned from his loan period but they do not seem to have added enough quality to this department yet. At backline, Baran Mogultay returned to Dortmund while Bedirhan Ozyurt came back from Eyupspor. The goalkeeping department has changed too following the departure of experienced Ertugrul Taskiran. Yusuf Karagoz and Mert Bayram returned from their loan periods but neither looks like a guaranteed solution at this level. In general, the current squad seems short in some important positions. As they have done many times before, Alanyaspor could become very active in the final weeks of the transfer window.
