Corum FK will experience Super League football for the first time and the board have responded to promotion with a very active transfer window. Compared to some other promoted teams, they have preferred to bring several players with high-level experience instead of keeping the same structure. This strategy could help them adapt to the league but there is also an obvious risk. When too many new players arrive at the same time, building chemistry can take some weeks. That is why their early-season performance will be interesting to watch. The biggest investment has been made in defence. Hrvoje Smolcic came from Eintracht Frankfurt while Serdar Saatci, Andre Borza and Gokhan Sazdagi were also added. Huseyin Bulut gives them another option at backline. Considering that Attamah, Efe Sarikaya, Kerem Kalafat and Uzeyir Ergun left, these reinforcements were necessary. There is also major competition on the net. Marcos Felipe, Erhan Erenturk and Arif Simsir were brought in while Sehic, Ahmet Kivanc and Hasan Huseyin Akay departed. In numbers, they look much safer defensively than many newly promoted teams. Ylber Ramadani looks like one of their most interesting transfers in midfield. His experience in Italian football should be valuable at this level. Hasan Emre Yesilyurt was also added but Pedrinho and Oguz Gurbulak left, so there has been an important change in the centre of the pitch too. Offensively, Emircan Gurluk and Hasan Abdulkareem are the notable arrivals while Emeka Eze returned from his loan period but then left for Sariyer. Samudio and Yusuf Erdogan are also no longer with the team. So, offence line may still need another proven scorer. In general, the squad looks ambitious for a newcomer but turning all these new names into a team will be the main challenge.
