Difficult last season. Barely survived. Finished only 3 points above the relegation zone. Survival secured only in the final round. Improved results in the spring saved them. Bringing in on loan from Fenerbahce Becão and Kahveci was vital. Both are back at their parent club, at least for now. Kasimpasa managed to secure permanently the stay of their other major winter move Adrian Benedyczak. The Pole scored in 9 of his opening 11 starts for the club and these goals accumulated the points Kasimpasa needed. Young AM Marcus Rafferty arrived from Sweden. He might be only a back-up but a great addition. Captain Haris Hajradinovic is the big star in this role. Yet, he missed 29 games last season injured. This on top of 3-month absence the year before. Having Rafferty as a cover is a smart move. New Romanian CB Matei Ilie should become a regular. Still light on defensive depth though. Losing both Becão and Opoku this summer leaves the team with only 3 natural CBs, all 3 young and inexperienced. The transfer activity will only intensify in the next month. Come mid-September when the summer transfer market shuts Kasimpasa are expected to have much different look. Right now it is hard to judge their chances as the squad is clearly still being built.

Target

Mid-table comfort will be ideal. Avoiding relegation will be enough.
