Football Season Review

№10: Kasimpasa

Just before the current season, the board decided to cut some budget. That is why they had to part company with some regulars. Following that, Kasimpasa were expected to be a lower profile team comparing to the previous season. Despite that, it could be said that they did a great job as they finished the season in a comfortable place and played the semi final of the cup. After collecting only one point in the first four fixtures, they parted company with coach Riza Calimbay and the board appointed coach Kemal Ozdes. With him, they really did well at home as they managed to defeat the title holders & the runners up and collected some decisive points on the road. However, their away scoring performance was not good enough. Although they conceded fifty goals, keeper Ramazan had many saves during the season. It seems like a tough campaign awaits them again because the contracts of Titi, Tunay Torun and Castro have expired and it seems like they will leave the team. There are also some loanees about to return to their clubs. Captain Adem Buyuk was once again the best performer of the team with thirteen goals. There are also some offers for him. So they will have to be very active in the summer in order to rebuild their squad considering that it was already short. Since the coach did very well in these circumstances, the board are very likely to keep on working with him.

Player of the Season: Adem Buyuk
