Addicks boss Chris Powell has done an incredible job in turning around the fortunes of the south east London outfit. Charlton are back in the Championship after romping to the League One title last term and supporters will be hoping Powell and his men can maintain that momentum in 2012/13 and secure their status in the second tier. Many sides have successfully done so in recent years with Norwich and Southampton even going on to secure back-to-back promotions. However, without a significant playing budget Powell has had to buy wisely in the close season. Stevenage midfielder Lawrie Wilson has made the switch from the League One surprise package and will add dynamism to the Addicks' engine room. However, the current squad has very little experience in the Championship and it will be interesting to see how they cope with the big boys of the division who have plenty of seasoned top flight pros.

Target

To take momentum from last year's title triumph into the Championship to avoid relegation
