It's been a summer rebuilding job for Neil Warnock who was not really happy with the side he inherited from Simon Grayson. He has rebuilt the squad from top to bottom with Paddy Kenny set to challenge Jamie Ashdown for a place in goal, defenders Jason Pearce, Adam Drury and Lee Peltier arriving to sort out a problem area. Rodolph Austin, Paul Green and David Norris arrive to give bite to the midfield while Andy Gray and El-Hadji Diouf are extra options alongside Luciano Becchio and Ross McCormack who both enjoyed impressive seasons last term. The departures of Robert Snodgrass and Adam Clayton to a lesser extent are a blow but it is important to point out this is a completely new-look Leeds United side and they could well start with eight or nine new signings in their starting line-up. They will want to improve on their home record playing in front of expectant Elland Road crowds but Warnock will have a lot of pressure on his shoulders to deliver another Championship promotion.

Target

The target will be promotion with fans and owners' expectations exceedingly high. It may take a while for new players to gel but Warnock appears to have bought well.
