Millwall boss Kenny Jackett will be hoping his side can steer clear of the relegation troubles they so nearly encountered last season in 2012/13. It was a case of after the Lord Mayor's show for the Lions who failed to follow up their success in 2010/11 in which they were fighting for the playoffs, with Jackett struggling to maintain his side's form. Home form took a nose-dive last term with sides picking up points at The New Den with greater regularity than the previous year. Jackett's summer transfer activity has been largely focused around acquiring young, promising talent. Scott Malone, Karleigh Osborne and Chris Taylor are all players to have impressed at League One level and deserve a crack in the second tier. Meanwhile the capture of veteran keeper Maik Taylor will provide a calming influence and strong competition.
