After securing a second consecutive season in the second tier Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson will be keen to ensure his side do not take their foot off the gas in 2012/13. One of the division's most entertaining sides for their goal threat and inability to keep a clean sheet, Ferguson will be keen to ensure his team retain their potency in the final third whilst tightening their belts at the back. Posh have spent wisely in their quest to strengthen the squad with a number of promising youngsters arriving at London Road having cut their teeth at a lower level. The likes of Tyrone Barnett and Robert Olejnik have performed with distinction in League Two and their arrivals mark a continuation of United's policy of signing hidden gems to sell on for a profit at a later date. Skipper George Boyd remains at the club despite being transfer listed after rejecting a new contract offer.
