Football Season Guide

A truly dreadful season saw Wolves relegated from the Premier League last season after Mick McCarthy's sacking in February and a truly disastrous ending under Terry Connor. Stale Solbakken has now arrived from Norway in a surprising move and it is his bid to bring a sense of security back to the club. He has moved to sign Bjorn Sigurdarson from his homeland while Frank Nouble also arrives. Winger Michael Kightly has joined Stoke while Steven Fletcher and Matt Jarvis are both expected to leave the club so it could well be a baptism of fire for Solbakken in his first season in English football. Just getting a few early wins under his belt early on may be crucial as Wolves look to regain the feelgood factor that was badly lacking at times during their Premier League demise. Expectations are understandably low at the moment but that could change if there are points on the board early on.
