All change at Sheffield Wednesday with new owners and a new manager in Carlos Carvalhal. The new man has been very busy in the transfer market with bids for a series of players and he has so far successfully added defenders Darryl Lachman and Vincent Saso along with midfielder Alex Lopez and striker Marco Matias to his ranks. The Owls had an excellent away record last term but surprisingly were very poor on home soil and Hillsborough saw the fewest goals in the country. Wednesday will hope to improve upon that at a ground which was always traditionally regarded as a fortress. It may take time for new players to gel due to the mass changes to the side but a new-look squad and ambitions at least offer excitement to Wednesday fans who have seen real frustration over the last 10 years.

Target

Wednesday's ambitious new owners will want the play-offs.
