Wolves were so close to making the play-offs on their return to the Championship, just missing out on the final day. Nevertheless the club appears to be an upwardly mobile one that can eye the Premier League again. In Kenny Jackett, they have a very astute manager who has got the best out of his side since he took over two seasons ago. It has been a disappointing summer so far for Jackett in the transfer market with Conor Coady the only arrival from Huddersfield. And Bakary Sako's departure after the club failed to meet his demands is a huge blow to the club as they relied heavily on his pace and power last term. Benik Afobe and Nouha Dicko have proved themselves as a useful strike partnership but there is a feeling that another couple of players are necessary if Wanderers are to mount a promotion challenge this term.

Target

Play-offs will once again be the aim.
