Much of Huddersfield's success over the last couple of seasons in the Championship has been their ability to use their meagre resources well and to that extent it appears as if Chris Powell has enjoyed a good summer. Although the loss of midfielder Conor Coady to Wolves is a blow, Jordy Hiwula, Dean Whitehead and Martin Carnie's arrivals in particular provide good options for the side. It is difficult to see them challenging near the top this term, it will more than likely be another battle just for survival, but they should again have a lot of character about them to ensure they will not go down. Young players of the calibre of Harry Bunn have come through well in recent seasons and Powell is likely to continue with that approach.

A top half finished would be deemed a major success.
