Football Season Review

№24: Bristol City

Bristol City were the worst side in the Championship last season and got what they deserved after several poor seasons in England's second tier. The damage was done by Derek McInnes with the side struggling badly when he left in January. Replacement Sean O'Driscoll at least came close to turning the tide. He dramatically improved the Robins' home form although performances away from home were shambolic, finishing with the worst away record in the division (just three wins) and not a single away success under O'Driscoll. There is no doubt O'Driscoll will need to make changes over the summer and assemble a side of his own having had to pick up the pieces of the old regime. Albert Adomah has not enjoyed particular success under O'Driscoll while new striker Steven Davies scored 13 goals finishing as top scorer. Cole Skuse's decision to join Ipswich is a particular blow as the homegrown midfielder as always one of the club's most consistent players.
