Football Season Review

№19: Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield will be simply delighted after they did enough to ensure survival in their first season in the Championship. The Terriers started like a house on fire but eventually fell by the wayside and that resulted in manager Simon Grayson losing his job. Replacement was Mark Robins and despite conceding 10 goals in his first two matches, slowly but surely helped Huddersfiel survive. He could thank the on-loan strike duo James Vaughan and Jermaine Beckford. The pair scored 23 times between them despite missing a significant part of the season due to injury. Lack of finds make a move for the pair unlikely so Town will need to address their form in front of goal with 53 goals scored in 46 matches last term. There squad has not had a particularly great deal of class to it but it was solid and workmanlike. The summer will give Robins time to take stock and assemble a squad of his own.
