Football Season Review

№10: Colorado Rapids

Colorado was the team that was affected more than the others in MLS season as they played at the end 18 matches instead of 23 matches of regular season. Of course that might have helped them a bit as they qualified to the playoffs as the qualifying points were calculated by points per game and not total points gained by each team. In playoff though, the Rapids couldn't play a major role as they were defeated easily by Minnesota in the first round. Of course it was already a major success for Colorado to participate into the playoffs as it was their first time there since 2016. The Rapids had some good players like Cole Bassett, who was their MVP with 5 goals scored and 5 assists provided, but they need to extend their core and to acquire more rotation players in order to have at least two pretty equal solutions for every position. If they create a depth in their team then they can hope for a better season next year. In general though they can be satisfied about what they achieved in 2020.
