Having worked with three different coaches, last season was absolutely a difficult one for Alanya as the South coast city side escape from the relegation at the end by just one point. The biggest problem was their defensive performance as they have conceded 70 goals. Coach Erdogan parted company with some defenders but their replacements are not good enough yet. Bauermann was signed in but he was not a 1st-team material in Santos. Beside him, there are two young center backs which is not enough. Taskiran also arrived to fill in the role of Runarsson who returned to Arsenal. Midfielders including Lusamba, Fer and Gunes stayed in the team but Bekiroglu & Doumbia left. Novais returned to the city one year later and the coach added Richard & Janvier but the duo have been far from 1st-team football in their clubs. So, the fans may question their ability, if they cannot prove themselves in early fixtures. The fans will will see new faces in the offence line this season as most of them have left the team this summer. Anderson Silva is expected to lead up front considering his experience in Liga Portugal. The Angolan winger Augusto will have his 1st international experience outside Portugal. Carlos Eduardo has spent the last three years as loanee and he will have to work hard to meet the expectations. The fans are happy to see that captain Karacan stayed in the team. Since there are several new arrivals, the coach is aware that they have to train very well since the season’s kick-off. Moreover, early match days could be struggling for a newly-built team like them.

Target

Another tough season awaits Alanya. Survival should be their top priority this season. A few Cup rounds could boost their morale during the season.
