When coach Tolunay Kafkas was appointed by the board, only one point was seperating Ankaragucu from the relegation zone but they could manage to collect enough points to guarantee their survival. They were pretty active in the summer transfer market. This time, they made more logical decisions and brought the right pieces of a proper team. In the backline, they have lots of options. First of all, they signed Hanousek on a permanent deal. Then Mert made his loan move from Verona. Two defensive wingers arrived from relegated Giresun. Considering that they have Mujakic, Radakovic, Kitsiou, Uzum and Cankaya in the defence, the coach should face no problem there. Sowe is still with them and is expected to produce plenty of goals this season. Bajic was brought in and it is a great advantage as he knows the league very well. At this point, they lack offensive wingers. Except Beridze and Chatzigiovanis, the coach has some youngsters who are not enough at this level. The arrivals of Cigerci & Bekiroglu will give a great strength to the midfield but they could not stand to keep Diack in the team as there were some great interests of some clubs. It is obvious to see some new arrivals for the capital city side fans. Once again, the home crowd will be a great power and they are expected to hurt lots of teams in Ankara.

Target

With a few signings, they are expected to be a good team which could turn into a midtable side from a survival candidate. To repeat the last season’s great cup run is also on their mind.
