QPR dramatically overspent last season in their attempts to stay up in the Premier League and must now wonder what the effect of that will be in the long term. Harry Redknapp has a clear brief and that is to get QPR back straight into the top flight at the first time of asking. Signings so far have been far from spectacular with high earners from other clubs Richard Dunne and Karl Henry joining along with Newcastle full back Danny Simpson. Rangers also missed out on the signing of Gary Hooper that should have addressed their attacking worries. The main question mark for Redknapp this season will be whether his flamboyant team can cut it in the hussle and bussle of a league more known for its grittiness. There is immediate pressure on Redknapp to deliver and QPR's owners have made plenty of knee-jerk reactions in the past to suggest that if things go wrong early changes could be made dramatically. A hit or miss season in force.

Target

QPR's only target will be promotion, ideally as champions.
