Football Season Review

№18: Huddersfield Town

This was another disappointing campaign for Huddersfield following their relegation from the Premier League last term and it could have ended in another relegation. Despite Jan Siewert taking the club down last term, he started the season but was quickly sacked and replaced by Danny Cowley. Although not a great success, Cowley did steady the ship and just about kept the Terriers up. However, he was also sacked just before the end of the campaign. Huddersfield announced after the end of the season that Leeds coach Carlos Corberan was their new boss. On a positive aspect, Karlan Grant was excellent up-front and scored 19 times this season. They also had two decent loan goalkeepers in Kamil Grabara and Jonas Lossl, both of whom performed well. There did seem to be a lack of quality over the rest of the side though and there must be a rebuilding job over the summer. Huddersfield are a very small club for Championship football but they are still receiving Premier League parachute payments so that should help.
