Football Season Review

№15: Blackburn Rovers

A bit of a strange season for Blackburn. Tony Mowbray's side impressed early on and briefly looked like they may be able to mount a play-off bid if they could maintain the form they were on. However things fell apart between January and March where a poor run of poor saw them drop way down the table. They did recover after that with a number of late wins providing renewed optimism for the next campaign. Blackburn have had a fairly big squad this season but have needed it with several injuries all season particularly at the back. Mowbray, an experienced boss at this level, has not been shy about rotating his side in a bid to shake it up. Blackburn's two best players this season were Danny Graham and Bradley Dack. Graham found the net 16 times while Dack scored 18 but his form tailed off somewhat at the end of the campaign. Blackburn may do well to keep Dack over the summer with continued interest in him. You sense they need that little bit more quality if they are to be a threat in the Championship next term.

Player of the Season: Danny Graham
