Football Season Review

№13: Hull City

Hull finished the season in 13th and that has to go down as a positive season given there were some concerns that the Tigers may be involved in a relegation battle. Nigel Adkins has slowly assembled his side and got the best out of a group who hardly are blessed with reams of quality. One player who stood head and shoulders above the rest was Jarrod Bowen. He scored 22 goals from midfield and will surely be top of shopping lists for numerous clubs. The midfield and defence had reasonable enough seasons for Hull but the attack disappointed with neither Fraizer Campbell nor Nouha Dicko setting the world alight while Chris Martin really struggled on loan from Derby. There are various issues to resolve this summer. There could well be a summer takeover while Adkins' future is up in the air with no resolution at the time of writing. That all hinders the battle to sign players they need if they are to be more competitive next term.
