Football Season Review

№13: Leeds United

This was another abject season in the history of Leeds United where owner Massimo Cellino's style of leadership left a lot to be desired in the eyes of their fans. The controversial Italian never appears to want to settle on a manager. Cellino started the season with Uwe Rosler but he was dismissed midway through with Steve Evans arriving. He did an average job but was not helped by lack of funds for new players to make the squad his own. He does not have a contract beyond the summer with Cellino understood to be looking for yet another new boss. This lack of stability is seriously undermining the work on the pitch. Chris Wood proved to be a good signing but injury midway through the season did not help at all. Again it was left to youngsters such as Charlie Taylor to impress and see Leeds through the season. An FA Cup fifth round place cannot mask another season of woe and Leeds really need to keep more faith with their managers and plan better for the future.
