Football Season Review

№22: Millwall

Millwall will be playing League One football next term after a disastrous campaign. Ian Holloway simply could not get the best out of his side and Millwall probably kept faith in him for too long. Neil Harris took charge but it was too big a task to keep the Lions up despite his best attempts. The Londoners have employed their former playing hero on a full time basis now and with his heart and willingness to learn will feel they have a good chance of immediate promotion. Millwall really lacked class and that was the biggest reason for their demise. They will need to bring in new players in the summer although Lee Gregory and Aiden O'Brien present optimism for the future. Goals were the big issue for Millwall this term with just 42 scored no where near enough. They also only won five times on home soil, far too low for a side with a reputation of having a fortress of a stadium at the Den.
